Paul Awosokanre has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Paul started their career as an Internship Trainee at Itakpe Iron Ore in 1998. Paul then worked as a Financial Analyst at EY from 2003 to 2005. Following that, they joined British American Tobacco as a Business Analyst and stayed with the company for over a decade, until 2016. In 2017, Paul worked as a Business Analyst at Capgemini for a short period. Later that year, they joined Deloitte Canada as a Senior Business Financial Analyst and worked there until 2019. In 2019, they worked as a Consulting Business Analyst at the Province of Nova Scotia. In 2020, Paul joined EY again, this time as a Senior Business Analyst, and worked until 2022. Paul then transitioned to RCGT as a Senior Consultant, before joining their current company, New Gold Inc., as a Senior Business Analyst.

Paul Awosokanre attended the Federal University of Technology Akure from 1994 to 2000, where they obtained a Bachelor of Technology degree in Metallurgical Engineering. Paul then pursued further education at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria from 2005 to 2007, earning an Associate's degree in Accounting and Finance. In 2016, Paul obtained a Project Management Institute Certification from the Institute of Project Management. Lastly, they attended the Sobey School of Business at Saint Mary's University from 2017 to 2020, completing a Master of Business Administration degree with a specialization in Accounting.
