Shehzad Khan has over 20 years of experience in maintenance planning and engineering roles. Shehzad is currently the Head of Maintenance Planning/Lead Maintenance Engineer at New Fortress Energy, where they implemented an ERP system and developed maintenance planning procedures. Prior to this, Shehzad worked at Vale as an Integrated Planning Superintendent, where they implemented a Yesterday Today Tomorrow (YTT) concept for maintenance planning and improved schedule compliance and resource utilization. Shehzad also developed SIMOPS for Shaft Operations to increase production deliverables. At Sakhalin Energy, Shehzad served as the Head of Maintenance Improvement, overseeing the integration of offshore assets, developing improvement plans, and advising on turnaround management. Shehzad also managed budgets and contracts. Shehzad's experience includes their time at BG Group as a Lead Maintenance Optimization Engineer, where they successfully transitioned the company from Maximo to SAP and developed budgets for the maintenance department. Additionally, they worked at TAKREER-ABU DHABI OIL REFINERY as a Senior CMMS & Reliability Cost Engineer, implementing IBM Maximo software and undertaking improvements in safety and regulatory compliance. Shehzad started their career at Iso Octane Company as the Head of Maintenance Planning & Warehouse, where they implemented Maximo CMMS and developed maintenance management strategies.
Shehzad Khan began their education by completing a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical from NED University of Engineering and Technology. Shehzad then pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Maintenance Engineering & Asset Management from The University of Manchester in 2009-2011. Shehzad also obtained a Certification in Maintenance Management from Northern Lakes College. In 2020, they acquired a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certificate from McMaster University. Recently, Shehzad obtained a Maintenance Work Management Certificate from PEMAC Asset Management Association of Canada in 2021. Shehzad also holds additional certifications such as Industrial Mechanic-433A and multiple Maintenance Management Professional certifications from PEMAC Asset Management Association of Canada, obtained in 2017.
