Samar Sallam has extensive experience in refugee resettlement and support, currently serving as the Interim Manager of Refugee Resettlement at the New Canadians Centre since March 2021, where previous roles included Case Management Worker, Resettlement Assistance Program Worker, and Settlement Support Worker. Samar also contributed as a Computer Literacy Co-Teacher at the New Canadians Centre for a brief period in late 2020. Prior to this, Samar was involved in education as a Physics Teacher and Supervisor in the IGCSE Department at Alexandria House of English School from September 2011 to August 2020. Samar holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Alexandria University, completed in 2010, and is furthering education at Fleming College, expected to finish in 2023.
