Linda DeRungs has worked as a Choral Director at the New Albany-Floyd County Consolidated School Corporation. Linda then went on to become the Director of Choral Arts and Fine Arts Chair at New Albany High School, starting in 1984.
Linda DeRungs has a diverse education history. Linda began their academic journey at Monona Grove High School in Monona Grove, Wisconsin, where they studied from 1967 to 1971. Following their high school education, they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Art Education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1971 to 1977. Moving forward, Linda attended Dakota State College in Madison, South Dakota, from 1979 to 1981, earning a Vocal Music Certification. In 1981, they furthered their studies in Choral Conducting at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion for one year. Finally, Linda completed their Master of Music in Choral Conducting at the University of Missouri-Kansas City from 1982 to 1984, demonstrating their commitment to furthering their expertise in music education.
