Beatrix Kates is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in the media and nonprofit sectors. Currently serving as the Director of Communications at NeuRA since June 2022, Beatrix has also held the position of Communications & PR Manager. As a co-founder of A Life Untold since 2018, Beatrix has contributed significantly to the organization. Previous roles include Marketing & Communications Manager at The Funding Network Australia, Senior Communications Officer and Content Editor at National Disability Services, and Health Editor at Bauer Media for Woman's Day & Yours magazines. Early career highlights encompass positions as Associate Editor and Senior Reporter at HPCI Media, Reporter at Reader's Digest, and Editorial Assistant at Fairfax Media. Beatrix holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and International Studies from the University of Technology Sydney, complemented by study at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan.
