Samuel Peláez Machado has over 17 years of professional experience in the software development and research field. In 2018, they began their current role as a Senior Software Developer at Neuroelectrics. From 2014 to 2018, they were a Researcher & Software Developer at AleaSoft Energy Forecasting, where they were responsible for energy forecasting analysis and software development. From 2012 to 2014, they worked as a Software Developer at Venco Electrónica, where they developed firmware for Embedded Linux systems based on Texas Instruments' SoC and applications for Digital Signage. From 2004 to 2012, they were a PhD Student at Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas, where they conducted computer simulations on metallic systems at the nanoscale and studied the mechanical properties of Metallic Nanowires. In 2002, they began their professional career as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at IVIC.

Samuel Peláez Machado obtained a Doctorado in Física de la materia condensada y de materiales from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in 2012, after earning a Licenciado en Física from Universidad de Carabobo in 2003.
