Danish Hussain currently serves as the Head of Surgery ME at Neuralink, overseeing surgical procedures related to the head since July 2021. Previously, Danish held roles including Patient Interfaces Team Lead and Robot Mechanical Engineer at Neuralink, and worked as a Turbomachinery Structures Engineer at Pratt & Whitney from July 2017 to June 2021. Danish has experience as a Firefighter II at Rocky Hill Fire Department from August 2017 to November 2020, and completed an internship at SpaceX as a Launch Intern in late 2016. Early experiences include a Manufacturing Intern position at Ford Motor Company in 2016 and an internship at Applied Research Laboratories, The University of Texas at Austin, in the Sonar Development Division. Danish holds a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, and a Master's degree in Neural Engineering from Università di Pisa, with additional training at LBJ Fire Academy and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
