Brien P. Smith is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in investment management and corporate governance. Currently serving as Senior Advisor and Managing Director - COO of Alternative Assets at Neuberger Berman since January 2001, Brien oversees the Private Equity Division and is a key member of several investment committees. Additionally, Brien holds membership on the Advisory Council of the Red McCombs School of Business since September 2010, contributing to the school's growth and credibility. Previous roles include non-executive Chairman of the Board at National Autotech, Board Member at Perry Homes, and Director at Mason Best Company, complemented by a foundational career at Arthur Andersen as a CPA.
