Alan Richards is a seasoned civil engineering professional with extensive experience in design and project management. Currently serving as a Senior (Civils) Design Engineer at Network Rail since February 2007, Alan focuses on supporting Electrification Projects through civil engineering design. Prior to this role, Alan worked as a Design and Technical Engineer at AMEC Rail from July 1994 to February 2007, where responsibilities included civil engineering design, site engineering, and construction management. Alan's career began at British Rail (Civil Engineers) in various posts from September 1985 to July 1994. Alan holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Project Management from The University of Manchester and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Construction Management from the University of Brighton.
