Michael is Chief Security Officer for Security Privateers a boutique Management Consulting firm specializing in guidance and cybersecurity team management for medium to large enterprises. He currently works as the acting CISO or CISO for four organizations including 2 Law firms, one transportation firm, and one software company. Previous accomplishments include founding the world's largest QNX distributor and being the past founder and CTO of a Florida-based Managed Security Services Provider where he developed a patented Intrusion Detection system, award-winning email encryption, an anti-spam engine, and an audit and cybersecurity framework. As a recognized expert in the information security and privacy community with a strong history of innovation and entrepreneurship, Mr. Scheidell is a frequent conference speaker and subject matter expert in Information Security, Governance Risk, Compliance, and corporate physical security and has worked to secure US critical infrastructures such as Rail, Transportation, and Utility companies.

Mr. Scheidell has patents in information security, holds several security certifications, is a member of the US Secret Service Electronic Crimes Task Force, is a senior IEEE member, senior member of ISSA, and past Banking and Finance Sector Chief and board member of the Miami Chapter of the FBI's InfraGard program.
