Brian Chess is an experienced technology leader with a significant background in software development, infrastructure, and AI. Currently serving as SVP of Technology and AI at Oracle NetSuite since January 2017, Brian previously held the position of GVP of Cloud Operations. Prior to this role, Brian was the SVP of Infrastructure and Security Engineering at NetSuite after founding Ritual Software, which was acquired by NetSuite in 2012. Brian's career includes founding Fortify Software and serving as Chief Scientist until its acquisition by Hewlett-Packard in 2010, where Brian also worked as a Distinguished Technologist until 2012. Earlier experiences include roles at NetSuite and Hewlett-Packard, alongside an academic background culminating in a PhD in Computer Engineering from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
