Ernesto Andrade is a highly experienced video software engineer and manager with a strong background in video compression and transcoding technologies. Currently serving as a Senior Staff Video Software Engineer and Manager of Video IP at NETINT Technologies Inc. since May 2021, Ernesto focuses on developing cloud-based transcoding IP. Prior to this role, Ernesto worked at Evertz from March 2007 to April 2021, where responsibilities included AV1 and H265 encoder modeling and the quality evaluation of encoding tool sets. Earlier experience includes research fellowships and senior research officer roles at the University of Edinburgh and University of Essex, respectively, with a focus on video surveillance and tracking algorithms. Ernesto holds a PhD in Electronics and Telecommunications, a Master of Science in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
