Maarten Kamermans is a distinguished academic in the field of neurophysiology, currently serving as a Professor specialized in sensory physiology at the Academic Medical Center since 2007. With extensive experience in retinal signal processing, Maarten has led research groups at both the Netherlands Institute for Neuroscience and the Netherlands Ophthalmic Research Institute. Prior roles include senior researcher at the Academic Medical Center and a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of California. Maarten's academic journey began with a PhD and a Master's degree in Biology from the University of Amsterdam.
