Eric Hyyppa has a diverse work experience in the field of telecommunications and media. Eric started their career at ESPN, Cowels Media, Max Media, and Cordillera Communications as an Independent Television Engineer, where they gained expertise in operating complex electrical equipment and working under pressure. Eric then joined MontanaPBS, where they held various roles such as Information Technology Manager and Director and General Manager. In these positions, they were responsible for designing and building robust IT infrastructure, overseeing the digital network operations facility, and managing enterprise IT support. Eric also worked as a University Instructor at Montana State University and is currently serving as the President of the National Educational Telecommunications Association.

Eric Hyyppa obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Montana State University-Bozeman between the years 1991 and 1995.
