Nowshin Tabassum has a diverse work experience spanning various research and administrative roles. Starting in 2014, they worked at the Edison Elementary School as a student teacher for three months. In the same year, they also worked as a Front Desk Office Assistant at the Office of Chemical Engineering and Material Science, Graduate Division until 2017. In 2015, they joined the UC Irvine School of Medicine as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Inlay Lab for a brief period. From 2015 to 2017, they worked as an Administrative Assistant at the UCI Department of Genomics and Bioinformatics. In 2016, they became a Junior Specialist at the UCI Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Jafari Lab until 2017. In 2018, they joined BioLegend as a Research Associate I - Immunoassay until 2019. From 2019 to 2021, they worked at Bristol-Myers Squibb as a Research Associate. Currently, they are employed at Neomorph, Inc. as a Research Associate II since 2021 and recently got promoted to the position of Senior Research Associate.

Nowshin Tabassum attended UC Irvine from 2013 to 2017 and completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences.
