Gabriel Ruiz is an experienced finance executive currently serving as Vice President of Finance at NEOM since July 2021. Prior to this role, Gabriel held the position of Director of Research Administration at Weill Cornell Medicine in Qatar from March 2016 to August 2021, where responsibilities included the management of administrative activities to support a large research division and ensure funding and compliance. Gabriel's career also includes significant roles such as Director of Budgeting and Planning at KAUST, and Director of Budget and Finance at the University of Colorado Denver, contributing to multi-year planning and policy adherence. Earlier experience includes positions at the University of Colorado at Boulder and Telefonica. Gabriel holds a Master’s degree in Accounting with a specialization in Forensic Accounting from the University of Colorado Denver and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Colorado Boulder.
