Alex McCauley is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in technology, investment, and public policy. Currently serving as the Director of Technology & Investment at NEOM since March 2024, McCauley has held pivotal roles such as Board Member at Settlement Services International and Chair of the Global Talent Scheme Startup Advisory Panel at the Australian Department of Immigration and Border Protection. McCauley was also a Member of the Board of Directors at the Tech Council of Australia and has contributed as the Founder & CEO of StartupAUS, advocating for tech startups in Australia. Additional roles include Tech Industry Advisor for SXSW Sydney, involvement in the Ministerial Advisory Committee on Skilled Migration, and membership in the NSW Government Sovereign Procurement Taskforce. With a diplomatic background in the Australian Embassy in Tel Aviv, McCauley has a strong educational foundation with degrees from Stanford University and the University of Sydney.
