Marcelo Maia is a seasoned professional in renewable energy engineering with extensive experience in project development across various roles. Currently serving as a Senior Renewable Energy Engineer at Neoenergia since May 2022, Marcelo focuses on onshore wind, photovoltaic, and hybrid projects, coordinating multidisciplinary teams. Previous positions include Project Engineer and Product Manager at Data Life, overseeing R&D project implementations for Enel Green Power, and Entrepreneur at RCI Connect Cuiabá, managing business operations and IT infrastructure. Marcelo also has a background in telecommunications as a Regional Support Engineer at EFM ENGENHARIA and has contributed to wind and solar resource assessments at Iberdrola and Neoenergia in earlier roles. Marcelo holds an MBA in Project Management from PUC Minas, a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, and has completed summer research in wind power at Texas Tech University.
