Mathijs Verheijden has a diverse work experience starting with an internship at DLG in 2011. Mathijs then worked as a Truck Driver at P. Grinwis Transport from May 2011 to August 2020. Following that, they joined Neele-Vat where they had various roles including Account Coordinator, Teamleader Account Coordination, Operations Manager at Neele-Vat Maasvlakte, Business Unit Manager at Neele-Vat Logistics Solutions Botlek, and currently, they hold the position of Business Unit Manager at Neele-Vat Logistics Solutions Rotterdam since October 2022.

Mathijs Verheijden completed their education in chronological order starting with their Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Logistics Engineering at the Rotterdam Mainport Institute from 2009 to 2013. Prior to that, they obtained their HAVO degree in Economie from CSG Prins Maurits, where they studied from 2004 to 2009.

In addition to their formal education, Mathijs Verheijden also obtained a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification from The Lean Six Sigma Company in October 2020.
