Joel Hovdenes is an experienced technology leader currently serving as Director of Technology Experience at Nebraska Medicine since January 2018, overseeing Data Center Operations, Service Desk, Video Operations, and AV Technologies. Prior to this role, Hovdenes spent a decade at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, where positions included Associate Director of Data Center Operations and Manager of Data Center Operations, focusing on command center operations and data center consolidation. Hovdenes also held various executive roles at First Data Corporation, including Vice President of Enterprise Data Center and Change Management Services, and began a career in data center operations at Citibank (South Dakota), progressing through multiple management positions. Hovdenes holds educational qualifications from Augustana University, Lincoln High School, and Southeast Tech.
