Tom Gooch's work experience begins in 2013, when they worked as an intern at The Yellow Agency. In 2014, they joined Banki Haddock Fiora as a paralegal and stayed there until 2016. During this time, in 2015, they also worked as a vacation clerk at Herbert Smith Freehills. In 2016, they worked as a legal coordinator at the Australian Olympic Committee. In 2017, they joined Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP as a litigation paralegal and later that year joined Herbert Smith Freehills as a graduate. Tom then worked as a solicitor from 2018 until mid-2022, when they became a senior associate at the same company. In 2021, they participated in The Observership Program as a board observer for the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia. Currently, Tom Gooch is the Head of Legal at Neara, starting in September 2022.
Tom Gooch attended Sydney Grammar School from 2003 to 2008. Tom then pursued a Bachelor of Arts (Hons I) degree in English from the University of Sydney, completing their studies from 2010 to 2013. Later, from 2014 to 2016, Tom earned a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree with Distinction from the University of New South Wales (UNSW).
