Sarah Searcy is a Senior Advisor for Innovation in the Integrated Mobility Division at the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT), managing the Connected Autonomous Shuttle Supporting Innovation (CASSI) program since November 2021. Previously, Sarah served as Deputy Director within the same division, focusing on innovations and data. Sarah's experience includes roles such as Bicycle and Pedestrian Program Manager at the Institute for Transportation Research and Education, as well as various positions in research and analysis with the North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles and the UNC Highway Safety Research Center. Academically, Sarah holds a Master of Arts in Sociology and a Bachelor of Arts in Art and Anthropology from East Carolina University, alongside graduate certifications in Geospatial Information Science and Survey Science from North Carolina State University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, respectively.
