Francesco Carpanese, Ph.D, serves as a Postdoctoral Researcher at EPFL since January 2025, focusing on physics and data-driven models for plasma control and disruption mitigation. Prior to this role, Francesco worked at Commonwealth Fusion Systems as a Plasma Physicist and Software Developer, contributing to software platforms for plasma magnetic equilibrium simulation. Francesco also held positions at Neural Concept, initially as an IT Operations Manager and later as a Senior Machine Learning Application Engineer, leading the development of AI/ML applications.
