Alex Scharer, MHA, CADC, currently serves as a Mental Health Consultant in Integrated Care at the NC Department of Health and Human Services. Previously, Alex held the position of Intervention Specialist at Sober Escorts, Inc., providing tailored recovery and consultation services to individuals and families facing addiction and mental health challenges. As Founder of CareShare, LLC, Alex also contributed to the opioid use disorder sector as a Digital Health Venture Strategist at Eshelman Innovation. Additional experience includes an internship in Strategy and Innovation at Atrium Health, facilitation at PIVOTPoint WNC, and leadership roles at Montford Hall and RHA Health Services. Alex holds a Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor of Science in Integrated Health Sciences from Western Carolina University.
