Ilya Skornyakov is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in backend development and big data technologies. Currently serving as a Senior Backend Software Engineer at Akamai Technologies since March 2023, Ilya manages and processes petabyte-scale data while designing and implementing critical new backend services. As a Big Data Software Consultant at NAYA Technologies since 2019, Ilya specializes in designing end-to-end data pipelines and managing high-rate streaming and batch processing. Previously, at Finastra from March 2021 to February 2023, Ilya focused on backend microservice and data platform development, ensuring high-performing, reliable, cloud-agnostic solutions. Ilya began the career as a Java Backend Developer at a Product Company from 2017 to 2019, following education at The Open University of Israel with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and studies at VZMS, Moscow from 2015 to 2018.
