Beck DeYoung is a data scientist currently employed at NAXION since January 2023, where significant contributions include the implementation of generative AI technologies and the development of a user-friendly application for topic modeling and multi-label classification. Prior experience includes serving as a Fulbright Scholar and a Data Science for Social Good Fellow, working with Paraguay’s National Department for Public Contracting to create models that reduce overbilling and identify corruption in public procurement. Additional roles include research at the U.S. Geological Survey, algorithm development at Enguia Energia, and data management at Macmillan Learning. Beck DeYoung holds a Master of Science in Econometrics from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental and Economic Data Analytics from Union College.
