Julie Olson

Vice President, Clinical Account Management & Innovation at Navitus Health

As Vice President of Clinical Innovation, Julie leads a team of pharmacists and product managers to design, implement and execute population health programs and digital therapeutic solutions for Navitus. Julie’s broad scope of responsibilities includes the development, management and outcome measurement of Navitus’ predictive modeling and ROI analysis. Julie also has extensive experience in Medicaid, Medicare Part D, and Star Ratings.

As a senior health care professional and doctoral prepared nurse, Julie brings nearly 30 years of diverse health care experience, including public health nursing, health outcomes research, public policy analysis, and business development. She has served in a variety of roles at Navitus and was an integral member of the team that developed Lumicera Health Services, Navitus’ wholly-owned specialty pharmacy. Prior to joining Navitus, Julie was Associate Director at the Madison Birth Center and Health Policy Director at the Wisconsin Women’s Health Foundation.

Julie has served on the Wisconsin Lt. Governor’s task force on Women & Depression and the Pharmacy Quality Alliance Specialty Pharmacy Measures Taskforce. She is a Wisconsin Women in Government Fellow, March of Dimes/Wisconsin Association for Perinatal Care Public Affairs Fellow, and Sigma Theta Tau Chiron Fellow and has received the Sisters of Saint Mary Health System Innovation Award. Julie is published in a number of peer-reviewed journals and has presented at numerous conferences, symposia and classes. Julie has a doctorate in nursing practice (DNP) with a focus on health systems leadership and quality from Marquette University. She also holds a master’s degree in community health nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and two bachelor’s degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, in nursing and psychology. Her passion has always been about improving the health of those she serves.
