James Watts began their career in 2005 when they founded SOLFENIX. In 2010, they joined Imaweb 2000 s.l. as a Senior PHP/JavaScript Developer (R+D). In 2012, they became the CakePHP Community Manager for Cake Software Foundation, Inc. and the Director and Specialist for Cake Development Corporation. In 2015, they were appointed as the CTO of TICKETCHAT, where they were responsible for technical leadership, strategic planning, long-term vision, talent acquisition, team mentoring and workflow management. In 2016, they founded KUSANAGI and in 2017, they became the Co-Founder of Navigo, where they worked to increase the safety of foreign aid workers and missionaries.

James Watts attended the University of Cambridge from 1998 to 2000, where they obtained iGCSEs in Business Studies, Mathematics, and Foreign Language Spanish.
