Matt Babcock has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Matt started their career as a Marketing Manager at SMG in 2000 and worked there until 2002. Matt then joined Cargo-Link International as a Project Manager / Import Specialist from 2002 to 2005. Following that, they worked at Babcock Global as an International Trade Consultant from 2005 to 2007. Matt then joined Norfolk Southern as a Market Manager, Utility Coal from 2008 to 2013. Matt later joined Cloud Peak Energy as a Director, Exports & Logistics from 2013 to 2019. In 2019, they joined Navajo Transitional Energy as Director, Sales & Marketing and was promoted to Vice President of Sales & Marketing in 2020.

Matt Babcock earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with a focus on International Business and Economics from The University of Southern Mississippi in 2002. Matt later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the same institution from 2007 to 2008.
