Max Tarjan is the current Ecological Modeling Program Manager at NatureServe. Prior to this role, they worked as the Science Director at San Francisco Bay Bird Observatory, where they managed various projects related to bird surveys and data analysis. Max has also worked in various research roles at institutions such as UC Santa Cruz, Macquarie University, and the Organization for Tropical Studies. They hold a Bachelor of Arts in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Princeton University, as well as a Master of Arts and a Doctor of Philosophy in the same field from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
