Sujatha (Jahagirdar) Bergen is an experienced public health professional currently serving as the Health Campaigns Director at the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) since June 2015. In this role, Sujatha develops and implements campaigns aimed at securing environmental and public health protections within the corporate sector, focusing on issues such as plant-forward menus and toxic products. Sujatha also held positions as a Policy Specialist in the Food and Agriculture Program at US PIRG and directed the Stop Antibiotics Overuse Program for Student PIRGs from May 2010 to July 2014. Sujatha holds a Master of Public Health with a concentration in Biostatistics from The George Washington University-Milken Institute School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Science in Biology and History from Yale University.
