Laura May Roth is currently serving as the Deputy Director of Regulatory Coordination, Consultation and Economic Inclusion at Natural Resources Canada, a position held since February 2024. Previously, Laura held various roles at Transport Canada from June 2017 to July 2023, including Senior Analyst in Horizontal Policy and International Affairs focused on Marine Safety & Security, Legislative Modernization Officer, and Policy/Economic Officer. Other notable positions include Senior Policy Analyst at the Public Health Agency of Canada, National Security Analyst at Public Safety Canada, and Desk Officer for Mozambique, Swaziland, and Malawi at Global Affairs Canada. Laura’s earlier experience includes work at the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development as a Senior Policy Officer for APEC and a Communications Officer. Academic credentials include a Master’s degree in Public and International Affairs from the University of Ottawa and studies at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the University of Oxford.
