Nick Heim currently serves as an Onderzoeker at De Nationale Ombudsman since January 2022. Previously, Nick worked as a Consulent gaswinning at Gemeente Eemsdelta in 2021 and at Gemeente Loppersum from 2017 to 2021, overseeing the Meldpunt Onafhankelijke Raadsman, which addresses complaints related to damage claims by the Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij and other entities. Additionally, Nick has experience as a Projectcoördinator for the Woon- en Leefbaarheidsplan in the Appingedam, Delfzijl, and Loppersum regions and served as a Beslismedewerker for gezinshereniging at the Immigratie- en Naturalisatiedienst from 2015 to 2016. Earlier career roles include working at Waterbedrijf Groningen in customer administration and at the registration desk. Nick holds a Master's degree in Culturele Geografie and a Bachelor's degree in Sociale Geografie en Planologie from the University of Groningen.
