William Finnegan is a Lecturer and Assistant Professor in Civil Engineering at the University of Galway since November 2018 and serves as a Senior Research Fellow, acting as the Principal Investigator and Lead Research Engineer for significant projects such as H2020 CRIMSON, BladeLEP, and MI-DRONE, which collectively secured over €5.5 million in funding. Prior to this role, William held positions as a Research Fellow at Universidade do Porto and as a Visiting Research Fellow at ÉireComposites and NUI Galway, culminating in a Postdoctoral Researcher role from March 2014 to November 2017. William Finnegan earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Civil Engineering from the University of Galway between September 2009 and September 2013.
