Dr. Olivia McDermott is an accomplished academic and professional in the fields of Medtech regulatory affairs and operational excellence, currently serving as an Associate Professor at the University of Galway since July 2016. In addition to academic roles, Dr. McDermott has extensive experience in supply chain management, lean operations, and quality management, having lectured at institutions such as the University of Limerick and served on the steering committee of the IPICS Supply Chain Management Institute. Prior experience includes significant roles at Boston Scientific and Dell, where Dr. McDermott honed expertise in supplier quality engineering and Six Sigma methodologies. Dr. McDermott holds multiple degrees, including a D.Phil in Work Based Learning and an MBA in Business Management, complemented by various certifications in training and quality management.
