Deio Owen currently serves as the Llywydd NUS Cymru President at the National Union of Students (UK) and as a Young Trustee at Urdd Gobaith Cymru. Prior to these roles, Deio held the position of Vice President for Welsh Language, Community and Culture at Cardiff Students' Union, where advocacy for the Welsh language within the university was a primary focus. Deio also acted as a Sabbatical Officer Trustee and Welsh Language Officer for the Students' Union. Educationally, Deio obtained a degree in Welsh and Politics from Cardiff University, following earlier studies at Coleg Meirion Dwyfor and Ysgol Glan y Môr. Past leadership roles include serving as President of the Students' Union at Coleg Meirion Dwyfor and as an Ambassador for the Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol.
