Vanessa Edwards is an experienced philanthropy and fundraising consultant, currently serving as a Philanthropy Consultant for the National Trust since August 2022. Prior to this role, Vanessa worked as a Freelance Fundraising Consultant, delivering projects for various third sector organizations in the education and children's services sectors from June 2021 to August 2022. With a robust background in fundraising, significant positions include Director of Fundraising at Hft from November 2018 to June 2021, and Director of Development at the ss Great Britain Trust from February 2008 to April 2012, where a notable achievement was completing a £3 million capital campaign. Additional experience includes roles such as Head of Fundraising at the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust and various positions at the ss Great Britain Trust and the Natural History Museum. Vanessa holds a Master of Arts in Archaeology from UCL and a Bachelor's degree in Classical, Ancient Mediterranean and Near Eastern Studies and Archaeology from the University of Bristol.
