Alison Mitchelson is an experienced museum collections management professional currently serving as the National Collections Registrar Technical Lead at the National Trust since June 2012. In this role, Alison provides registrar services across multiple properties, manages collections loans and acquisitions, and collaborates with various stakeholders. Previous roles include freelance consulting at Mitchelson Moore Museum Consultants, Regional Digitisation Manager at Art UK, and various training and curatorial positions within museum organizations. Alison holds a Diploma in Collections Management and the Law from the Institute of Art and Law, an MA in Museum Studies from Newcastle University, and a BA (Hons) in History of Art from the University of York.
