William Rau

William Rau currently serves as a Broadband Program Specialist at the US Department of Commerce's National Telecommunications and Information Administration, focusing on Federal Program Officer roles for BEAD and Digital Equity Programs since October 2022. Prior experience includes managing technology policy studies at the American Enterprise Institute from June 2020 to September 2022, and participation as a delegate at the Yenching Global Symposium in April 2022. Additional roles encompass positions in administrative support at Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service, government communications at Comcast NBCUniversal, legislative internships in the U.S. House of Representatives, and editorial responsibilities at The Caravel. Rau holds a B.S. in Foreign Service with a major in International Politics and a minor in Chinese from Georgetown University, along with a C.V. Starr School Abroad degree from Middlebury College and a high school diploma from Phillips Exeter Academy.
