Mohamed Tantawy is a highly experienced researcher and educator currently serving as a Staff and Postdoctoral Scientist at Penn State College of Medicine since 2023. Additionally, Mohamed holds the position of Associate Professor at the National Research Centre's Medical Research Division, a role commenced in October 2020. From February 2017, Mohamed has been a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Centre of Experimental and Clinical Infection Research in Hannover, Germany. Mohamed's academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the Medical School of Hannover (2010-2015), a Master's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Mansoura University (2007-2009), a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from Zagazig University (2001-2005), and a Diploma of Education focused on university leadership, project management, and human resources from Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg (2020).
