Chance Parrish is a Research Engineer at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, with previous experience as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Sandia National Laboratories and a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of Minnesota, where a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemical Engineering was obtained. Parrish has expertise in the study of volatile and non-volatile coatings for rotating objects, determination of processing conditions for coating applications, and high-speed visualization experiments related to particle suspensions. This work has included collaboration with other research groups to optimize suspension composition in softgel encapsulation and mentoring of undergraduate students. Additional roles include serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Engineering Co-op, focusing on fluid dynamics and elasto-hydrodynamic lubrication in various applications. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Chemical and Life Sciences Engineering from Virginia Commonwealth University.
