Bidur Poudel is a Research Engineer at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory since February 2023. Prior experience includes serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at South Dakota State University, where Bidur conducted comparative analyses of power system frequency dynamics and developed data-driven models for inverters. Bidur's teaching experience at SDSU includes roles as a Teaching Assistant for Energy Conversion and Basic Electrical Engineering. Earlier in the career, Bidur worked as an Electrical Project Engineer at Prism International Engineering Pvt. Ltd., focusing on loss reduction strategies for the Nepal Electricity Authority's distribution system. Bidur holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from South Dakota State University and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Kathmandu Engineering College. Research efforts have received funding from the Department of Energy and the National Science Foundation.
