Praveena Rai is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the financial and payments sectors. Currently serving as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer at the Multi Commodity Exchange of India Limited (MCX), Praveena has previously held significant leadership roles, including Chief Operating Officer at the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) and Head of Cash Management in Transaction Banking at Kotak Mahindra Bank. A former Regional Head of Payments for Asia Pacific at HSBC, Praveena has also managed product and sales functions across South Asia. Additionally, Praveena held leadership positions at Citigroup Global Services, including Head of Citibank Trade Services for South Asia and Vice President leading Customer Care for Citibank Consumer Group in India.
