Engela Sthapit, Ph.D., is a research scientist at Science and Technology Corporation (STC) and NOAA ESRL PSL since September 2022. Prior to this, Engela served as a research fellow at NOAA-CESSRST from August 2018 to August 2022. Engela's experience also includes a role as a senior energy professional at Vidaris, Inc. from July 2012 to July 2018, and as the director of the New Construction Unit and green building analyst at the Association for Energy Affordability, Inc. from May 2007 to May 2012. Engela holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from The City College of New York, a Master of Science in Biological Science from the University of Mississippi, and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Kathmandu University.
