Kari Midthun is a Forensic Toxicologist at NMS Labs since April 2020, with a robust background in forensic science and toxicology. Previously served as Assistant Laboratory Director at USDTL from 2018 to 2020 and worked as a Forensic Scientist for the New York State Police from 2014 to 2018. Kari Midthun also held a Post-Doctoral Fellow/Senior Research Support Specialist position at the SUNY Research Foundation, University at Albany, from 2013 to 2014, and was a Graduate Student/National Science Foundation IGERT Fellow at Cornell University from 2007 to 2012. Early career experience includes a Research Associate/Technician role at Covance in 2007 and as a Physical Sciences Laboratory Technician at USDA Forest Products Laboratory from 2004 to 2006. Kari Midthun holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and a Master of Science (MS) in Chemistry & Chemical Biology from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, and a certificate in Criminal Justice from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
