Christy Law Blanchard has extensive experience in strategic communications and marketing. Christy began their career in 1990 as Communications Director for the Government Accountability Project. In 1996, they were Communications Manager for the State of Rhode Island Employees Retirement System. Christy then moved to Save The Bay - Narragansett Bay in 1997 as Director of Communications, where they developed and implemented a comprehensive communications program to advance the goals of the organization. In 2002, they became Manager of Stewardship and Communications for the Brown University Library. Christy then moved to Manisses Communications Group in 2004 as Marketing Manager, followed by a stint as a Freelance Marketing and Communications Consultant in 2005. In the same year, they joined Brown University as Associate Director of Communications and Program Development for the John Carter Brown Library. In 2018, Christy Law Blanchard began working at the Rhode Island School of Design as Senior Associate Director of Strategic Communications. In 2021, they joined National Medical Fellowships, Inc. as Assistant Vice President of Strategic Communications, where they have overseen the strategy and content of communications and marketing efforts to raise the organization's brand awareness and deepen its impact.
Christy Law Blanchard obtained a BA in Government from Colby College and a Master's degree in Public Relations from S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. Christy also obtained a Professional Grant Proposal Writing certification from the National Funding Foundation in July 2021.
