Fernando Bruno, MD, MPH, FASTMH, currently serves as a Program Officer at the National Institutes of Health since August 2021 and holds the position of Program Director for the Global Alliance for Chronic Diseases. With a significant academic role, Fernando acts as an Adjunct Associate Professor at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine and an Adjunct Associate Professor of Public Health at New York Medical College. Fernando's extensive involvement with professional organizations includes active membership and leadership within the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene. Previous experience includes contributions as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and participation in various committees related to education and mentorship. Fernando received a Master of Public Health from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and a Doctor of Medicine from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro.
