Marc Cavazza

Visiting Professor

Marc Cavazza is a Professor of Artificial Intelligence at the University of Stirling since October 2023 and serves as a Visiting Professor at the National Institute of Informatics. Previously, Marc held significant leadership roles at the University of Greenwich as the Head of the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences and the Head of the Department of Computing and Information Systems from January 2018 to September 2021. Marc was a member of the scientific evaluation committee for ANR from 2014 to 2020, presiding over the committee for research chairs in artificial intelligence in 2019. Additional experience includes a tenure as Professor and Head of the Intelligent Interactions Research Group at the University of Kent (February 2016 - February 2018), and roles at Teesside University and the European Commission Framework Programme, among others. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Biomathematics from Université Paris Cité and an MD from the Faculte de Medecine Xavier Bichat, along with several other degrees in pharmacology and biochemistry.
