The National Information Technology Authority, Uganda (NITA-U) is an autonomous statutory body established under the NITA-U Act of 2009 coordinate, promote and monitor Information Technology(IT) developments in Uganda within the context of National Social and Economic development.

Under the general supervision of the Ministry of ICT & National Guidance, NITA-U focuses on enabling Government-wide efficiency and transforming citizens’ lives through e-Services delivery.

They provide technical support, manage network infrastructure, safeguard against cyber threats, and develop and implement IT solutions to enhance e-Services delivery. This team plays a crucial role in promoting efficient IT-enabled public services and fostering socio-economic development in Uganda.
