Stewart Smith, APIO, currently serves as President of the National Information Officers Association and has held the position of Vice President within the same organization. Since January 2013, Stewart has been the Public Information Officer at the Troup County Sheriff's Office and has also been a Regional Director for the National Information Officers Association since October 2021. Prior to this role, Stewart worked as a Senior Communications Officer at Troup County 911 from July 2000 to January 2013, where responsibilities included training new employees, serving as shift supervisor, and managing payroll and official employee documentation.
